We are a group of activists based in Madrid, creating a network to provide support to migrants/refugees in transit from the Spanish State towards other countries in the north of Europe.
At the moment we are operating under the “Solidarity Network” banner, and our group’s activities are also beginning to be focused on the issue of border violence, opposing deportations, etc.
We started our activities around two months ago supporting people in transit in one of the main bus stations in Madrid, and so far we have been providing basic material, social and legal support to refugees travelling from Melilla (in Morocco) to France, Germany and Belgium . The reality on the ground here is changing by the day, so we are still adapting our way of working.
We believe that, in order to provide support to people in transit, it will be very useful to have a good, efficient way of communicating with people/groups working on the same issue in different cities around Europe. Our aim would be to become an active part of a well-organized network of groups based in different places, that can provide contacts, information and advice to people.
This support could be provided in different ways: aiding with translation to buy a bus ticket to another city, offering a place to stay for a couple of nights, providing legal information on migration laws/asylum process, real situations of the differents state resources, giving some food and clothes for the trip, etc. Sometimes it won’t be even necessary, as travelers will have their own contacts and means, and will only need a reference to help them in case of emergency.
For the moment, our priority would be finding contacts in France and Germany; as that’s the usual destination of people in transit coming from the south. The situation will change eventually, so contacts from other places are more than welcome.

Wir sind eine Aktivistengruppe aus Madrid, die dabei ist ein soziales Netzwerk aufzubauen un Migranten/Flüchtlinge die durch Spanien nach Ländern im Norden von Europa unterwegs sind mit Hilfe zu versorgen.
Unsere Gruppe funktioniert momentan unter dem Namen “Solidaritätsnetzwerk” und wir haben inzwischen auch angefangen um uns auf Gewalttaten die auf den Grenzen stattfinden zu richten, Deportationen entgegenzusetzen, usw.
Wir haben unsere Aktivitäten vor circa zwei Monaten in einem von den Hauptbusbahnhöfen in Madrid angefangen um Personen die im Transit sind zu unterstützen. Bis jetzt haben wir materielle Grundversorgung und rechtliche Unterstützung an Flüchtlinge geboten die von Melilla (in Marokko) nach Frankreich, Deutschland und Belgien unterwegs sind. Die Situation vor Ort ändert sich jeden Tag und wir sind noch dabei unsere Arbeitsweise anzupassen.
Wir glauben, dass es sehr nützlich sein würde einen sehr guten und effizienten Kommunikationskanal mit anderen Personen oder Gruppen in verschiedenen Städte in Europa, die sich auch mit diesem Thema beschäftigen, zu haben damit wir den Flüchtlingen mit Hilfe versorgen können. Wir möchten ganz gerne aktiv in einem gut organisierten Netzwerk von Gruppen in verschiedenen Orten teilnehmen das Kontakten, Information und Beratung an den Flüchtlingen geben kann.
Die Unterstützung kann auf verschiedenen Weisen geboten werden: Übersetzung beim kaufen vom Fahrticket zu einer anderen Stadt, ein Übernachtungsort, rechtliche Unterstützung beim Migrationsprozess oder beim Asylprozess, Essen und Kleidung für die Reise, usw. Das wird manchmal nicht mal nötig sein, da die Reisenden ihre eigenen Kontakte und Vermögen haben und einfach ein Referenz brauchen die ihnen in einem Notfall helfen könnte.
Wir möchten als Priorität zuerst Kontakte in Frankreich und Deutschland knöpfen, weil die Personen die vom Süden hier ankommen nach diesen zwei Länder weiterfahren. Diese Situation wird sich eventuell ändern, deshalb würden wir uns auch freuen Kontakte mit Gruppen in anderen Ländern aufzubauen.
